So far so good. Still trekking along with minor symptoms. I need to get that darn Snoogle. My biggest issue right now is not sleeping well. I know it only gets more uncomfortable from here on out.
Baby is the size of an onion. As there are many sizes of onion, I got out a ruler. Baby is 5.1 inches. It doesn't seem like a lot until I held the ruler up to my stomach. Wow! Big To Do on the list this week is my monthly appointment Friday morning followed by my anatomy scan appointment later that morning. Hoping baby isn't playing hide and seek with their private parts. They've already bumped my appointment for that back by 30 minutes. Just hoping they don't reschedule for a different day.
And here's a bump picture from today. It's in my work bathroom. I forgot to grab my gray jacket to cover my pasty white arms. But hey the bump is the focus, right??

Re: Week 17
Awh, your bump is so cute. Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well. I'm not either. I have been so hot latley. It will only be 72 in the house and I feel like it's 90.
I have a question for you. Do you feel like you could take a 5 day vacation now, and be on a plane for 5 hours each way? The reason why I ask is because DH and I are thinking of going skiing in Park City, Utah around the second week of December and I believe I will be at about week 17 (or so). I would try to ski if I was feeling well enough and I would take it easy, of course. I'm an expert skier but I would stay on the easy trails. I know everyone is different in their pregnancies but I just thought I'd ask your opinion. I'm going to ask my doctor too.

I could totally take a vacation right now. In fact I would love one. I'm so tired between work, school, hubby's surgery, ect. But a 5 hour plane ride isn't bad. I think that's about what I'll have at Christmas time when we go visit my SIL and I'll be 29 weeks then. Yeah, that might not be so much fun. But at 17 weeks I wouldn't think it would be a problem. If you are prone to motion/air sickness at all though, you might consider that it could be worse during pregnancy. I know I'll be taking my sea bands with me when I fly. My parents are a 5 hour car ride away and my doctor said to just get up/out and walk very hour or so when driving or flying to help prevent blood clots.
And yes, so hot in the beginning. I felt like I really was an oven cooking something. I still get hot now but not as bad. This weekend I turned our air from 72 to 70 because I was so hot, then I sat in the chair under our ceiling fan while it was on high. So happy to finally be getting cooler weather this weekend. They are predicting 65 on Friday and 56 on Saturday. YAY!!!!
